Death toll rises to 4 in Salyan accident; 7 injured undergoing treatment (with names)

KATHMANDU: A mini truck accident in Sinbang, Kapurkot, Salyan, has resulted in the death of one more individual.
The injured driver, 26-year-old Man Bahadur Bhandari, succumbed to his injuries on Monday after the accident, bringing the total death toll to four.
Following the incident, Bhandari was rushed to Kapurkot Basic Hospital and then referred to Rapti State Hospital in Tulsipur, Dang, where he passed away. The mini truck was transporting rice and straw from Dubede in Kapurkot Rural Municipality-6 to Sinbang when it met with the accident around 6 PM on Monday.
Among the deceased were 14-year-old Govardhan Khadka, 12-year-old Anil Bhandari (known as Dilli), and 15-year-old Srijana Basnet, as confirmed by Inspector Resham Khatri from the District Police Office in Salyan.
Additionally, seven others were injured in the accident, including 13-year-old Khuma Basnet, 13-year-old Srijana Basnet, 35-year-old Nanda Basnet, 17-year-old Jitasagar Basnet, 17-year-old Sanjeev Basnet, 29-year-old Shankar Khadka, 35-year-old Devbahadur Basnet, and 22-year-old Hikmat Thapa.
The mini truck reportedly fell about 150 meters off the road.
