Minister Shahi addresses International Conference on Biodiversity

KATHMANDU: Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, Nepal’s Minister of Forests and Environment, delivered a speech today at the 16th International Conference on Biological Diversity (COP-16) in Colombia.

Leading a Nepali delegation to the ministerial meeting, he departed for Colombia on Sunday.

The conference, taking place in Cali, Colombia, from Oct 26 to 31, features high-level sessions on Oct 29, where Minister Shahi is scheduled to address discussions on two key topics: “Nature and Peace” and “Biodiversity and Finance.”

He is expected to return to Nepal on Nov 2.
