Liverpool & Arsenal play out thrilling 2-2 draw

KATHMANDU: Liverpool was held to a draw in the English Premier League (EPL) on Sunday, tying 2-2 with Arsenal at the latter’s home ground.

For Arsenal, Mikel Marino and Bukayo Saka each scored a goal, while Liverpool’s goals came from Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk. The match began with Saka’s opening goal in the 9th minute, giving the home side an early lead.

Liverpool equalized in the 18th minute with a goal by Van Dijk.

However, Arsenal regained the lead in the 43rd minute through Marino’s goal.

In the 81st minute, Salah scored for Liverpool, leveling the score once again. Both teams were unable to score further, resulting in a shared point for each.

Liverpool remains in second place with 22 points from 9 matches, just behind Manchester City, who holds 23 points from the same number of games.

Arsenal, with 18 points from 9 matches, is in third place.
