KATHMANDU: In the ongoing SAFF Women’s Championship in Kathmandu, Nepal advanced to the final by defeating India in the second semifinal.

The match, held at Dasharath Stadium on Sunday evening, ended in a penalty shootout where Nepal secured its spot in the final.

The final match will take place on Wednesday, Oct 30.

Nepal will now face Bangladesh in the final.

The game ended in a 1-1 draw after regular time, leading to the decisive penalty shootout.

During the match, Nepal’s forward Rekha Paudel received a red card, reducing Nepal to ten players.

Nepal reached the semifinals as the winner of Group B, while India entered the semifinals as the runner-up of Group A.
