Five family members hospitalized after consuming wild mushrooms

KATHMANDU: Five members of the same family fell ill after eating wild mushrooms in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat-Susta Purba).

The incident occurred on Saturday evening in Dumkauali, Devchuli-2, according to the District Police Office.

The affected individuals include 28-year-old Dhanmaya Rajbanshi, 26-year-old Madan Rajbanshi, 9-year-old Ridima Rajbanshi, 48-year-old Babulal Rajbanshi, and 46-year-old Ranmaya Rajbanshi.

Police Deputy Superintendent of Police Jashi Shah provided the information regarding the incident.

Currently, the patients are receiving treatment at the Old Medical College in Bharatpur, Chitwan, and their conditions are reported to be stable.

The authorities are conducting further investigations into the incident.
