Kaski Police deny mistreatment allegations against Rabi Lamichhane
The police in Kaski, who detained Lamichhane over alleged cooperative fraud, have denied accusations from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) that Lamichhane faced abuse while in custody.
KATHMANDU: The Kaski District Police Office has stated that it has not mistreated Rabi Lamichhane, who is currently held in custody.
The police in Kaski, who detained Lamichhane over alleged cooperative fraud, have denied accusations from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) that Lamichhane faced abuse while in custody, asserting that these claims are baseless.
In a statement, the Kaski Police expressed objection to RSP’s allegations and highlighted concern over what it calls misleading and fabricated views being spread on social media platforms like TikTok.
“Such baseless, misleading, and false information can transmit inaccurate messages to the public and negatively impact the thorough investigation of the case. We request that only fact-based information be disseminated,” read the statement.
Kaski Police further requested RSP to refrain from disseminating baseless information based on speculation or hearsay and instead to share accurate, truthful, and factual information.
