Gold prices soar by Rs 1,400 in one day, setting new record

KATHMANDU: On the first trading day of the week (Sunday), gold prices in Nepal have surged to an all-time high.

The ongoing rise in gold prices has set a new record today.

According to the Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold has increased by Rs 1,400 per tola today.

The price of hallmark gold is currently trading at Rs 167,400 per tola, up from Rs 166,000 per tola on the previous trading day, Friday.

Additionally, the price of silver has also risen, increasing by Rs 15 per tola.

Silver is currently being traded at Rs 2,085 per tola, compared to Rs 2,070 per tola on Friday.
