GIBL receives Best Bank Award 2024

KATHMANDU: Global IME Bank Limited has been honored with the Best Bank Award 2024 by Global Finance Magazine.
The award was presented during a ceremony held in the United States on Saturday, where Joseph D. Giarraputo, the founder and editorial director of Global Finance, handed over the award to the bank’s Chair, Chandra Prasad Dhakal, and Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Suman Pokharel.
Global IME Bank earned the title of Nepal’s Best Bank for 2024 based on various criteria, including reliability, effective financial resource mobilization, expanded accessibility, strategic partnerships, development of business and customer-friendly services, and credit rating.
Chairman Dhakal expressed his gratitude, noting that this recognition motivates Global IME Bank to deliver even better services. He extended his thanks to the Government of Nepal, the Nepal Rastra Bank, other regulatory bodies, shareholders, employees, and valued customers for their continuous support.
Global Finance Magazine honored top banks from various regions, including Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, Central America, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, North America, and Western Europe, along with Global IME Bank.
This award marks Global IME Bank as the first Nepali bank to be honored by Global Finance, which regularly recognizes top central and commercial banks worldwide with this prestigious accolade.
For 2024, Global Finance recognized banks across numerous categories, including HSBC of Hong Kong, Bank of America in the United States, State Bank of India, China Construction Bank, Global IME Bank from Nepal, Maybank of Malaysia, Standard Chartered Bangladesh, and Metrobank in the Philippines.
By continuously meeting customer needs with timely and innovative services, this recognition as “Nepal’s Best Bank” will encourage Global IME Bank to further strengthen its offerings.
Previously, Global IME Bank has been honored by various national and international institutions in multiple categories, winning awards such as Bank of the Year 2014, Best Internet Bank 2016, Best Bank Nepal 2024, Best Bank ESG Nepal 2024, and Best Employer, among others.
