KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has decided to continue its protest.

Concluding that party president and parliamentary leader Rabi Lamichhane has been detained out of political revenge, RSP has planned to protest again today.

According to a decision made at a central committee meeting held on Saturday, the party will stage a protest from 3 PM to 5 PM at Maitighar Mandala.

The RSP has accused the government of conspiring to detain and exert psychological pressure on Lamichhane under the guise of investigation, and it has demanded his immediate release, urging the government to abandon political retaliation.

Lamichhane was arrested in Kathmandu on Oct 18 in connection with a case involving alleged misuse of cooperative savings funds.

He is currently held in police custody in Kaski.
