‘Tihar Flora Expo 2081’ starts today at Bhrikutimandap (photos)

KATHMANDU: The Tihar Flora Expo 2081 has officially commenced at Bhaktapur’s Bhrikutimandap, organized by the Nursery Entrepreneurs Association of Nepal.
The event, which kicked off on Friday, is themed “Festival of Flowers for Tihar” to celebrate the upcoming festival.
The exhibition features a diverse range of flowering and non-flowering plants, along with various species produced by agricultural and forestry nurseries, as well as fruit nurseries.
Visitors can explore a variety of plants on display and available for purchase.
The expo will run from Oct 25 to 29. A total of 70 stalls are set up, including 65 commercial booths, three official stalls from the Department of Plants and Flower Development Center, and two competition stalls.
Entry fees are set at NPR 100 for general visitors, while students and senior citizens can enter for Rs 50 each.
