Dengue cases in Bangladesh surpass 50,000, death toll reaches 264

KATHMANDU: The Bangladeshi health authorities have reported that dengue has caused 264 deaths in the country so far.

This year, the total confirmed cases of dengue in Bangladesh have reached 53,196.

Dengue fever is a viral illness transmitted by the bite of an infected Aedes mosquito.

The disease presents with symptoms like severe headache, high fever, fatigue, muscle and joint pain, swollen glands, vomiting, and rashes, leading to serious health complications.
