Cyclone Dana’s impact in Nepal: Rain expected in these States
The eastern parts of Koshi and Lumbini States are expected to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.
KATHMANDU: According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the weather across the country is influenced by both westerly winds and local winds, with the Koshi State being partially affected by Cyclone ‘Dana,’ which developed in the Bay of Bengal.
The eastern parts of Koshi and Lumbini States are expected to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear weather.
During the day, Koshi and Lumbini States, along with the hilly regions of the country, will experience partly to generally cloudy conditions, with other areas remaining partly cloudy to mostly clear.
There is a possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two locations in the hilly regions of Koshi and Lumbini States.
At night, partly cloudy weather is expected in Koshi State and other hilly areas, while the rest of the country will see partly cloudy to mostly clear skies.
There is also a possibility of light rain with thunder and lightning in one or two places in the hilly regions of Koshi, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim States.
