Three ministers of Lumbini take oath of office & secrecy

KATHMANDU: Three newly appointed ministers of the Lumbini State government have taken the oath of office and secrecy.

On Thursday morning, the ministers were sworn in by State Chief Krishna Bahadur Gharti at the State Chief’s Office in Butwal.

Janmaya Timilsina from Bardiya took the oath as the Minister for Social Development, Devkaran Kalwar from West Nawalparasi as the Minister for Forests and Environment, and Adesh Agrawal from Banke as the Minister for Internal Affairs and Law.

The newly appointed ministers, Timilsina and Kalwar, are members of the Nepali Congress, while Agrawal represents the Janata Samajwadi Party led by Ashok Kumar Rai in the State Assembly.

The Lumbini Provincial Government, led by the Chief Minister, now has an 11-member cabinet, consisting of five ministers from UML, five from the Nepali Congress, and one from the Janata Samajwadi Party.
