Rabi Lamichhane’s custody extended for another 7 days

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), who was arrested in connection with a cooperative fraud case, has been granted an additional 7 days in custody.

The decision was made by Judge Chandrakant Paudel’s bench at the Kaski District Court.

Lamichhane was initially arrested on Friday, Oct 18, and the court had earlier extended his custody for 6 days.

Lamichhane is currently under investigation for charges related to cooperative fraud and organized crime linked to the Surya Darshan Savings and Credit Cooperative.

Further investigations are ongoing.
