Man held for alleged rape of 18-year-old girl

KATHMANDU: Police in Bardiya have arrested 22-year-old Bikram Bhattarai from Kakoura Jhannaiya, Bansgadhi Municipality-8, on charges of raping an 18-year-old girl.

The arrest took place on Wednesday afternoon following a complaint that Bhattarai allegedly committed the crime on Ashoj 27.

Acting on the report, police from the Motipur Area Police Office conducted an operation that led to Bhattarai’s apprehension.

Authorities are currently carrying out further investigations into the case.
