KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has emphasized that the government will not compromise on nationalism, national interests, good governance, and development.

During the announcement of the government’s achievements over its first hundred days, he stated that controlling corruption and establishing good governance should not become mere topics for momentary publicity or superficial actions.

He stressed the need for a systematic approach to good governance.

Oli remarked, “The government considers the law, not cameras, as the guiding principle for controlling corruption. While there may be temporary uproar about ‘catching the corrupt,’ our focus is on establishing a legal framework that effectively controls corruption rather than allowing it to increase.”

He acknowledged the presence of elements trying to create instability and chaos in the country, motivated by fear of being implicated in corruption.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to creating a legal system that prioritizes controlling corruption and maintaining stability in the nation.
