KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli stated that although natural disasters have temporarily slowed down the government’s work, the government is managing to move forward.

Speaking about the achievements of the current government during its first hundred days, he highlighted that milk and sugarcane farmers have received long-overdue payments.

“Approximately 1.5 million dairy farmers have received their payments, for which the government disbursed 600 million Nepali Rupees,” said Prime Minister Oli. He also mentioned that around 75,000 sugarcane farmers have received their subsidies.

Additionally, he pointed out that thousands of farmers covered under crop and livestock insurance have started to feel relief, as 800 million Nepali Rupees have been sent to the insurance authority for their claims over the past hundred days.

The Prime Minister provided assurances that arrangements for chemical fertilizers needed for winter crops have been made.

He noted that construction businesses have received payments totaling 6.75 billion Nepali Rupees from the federal ministry during this period.
