Construction of Kirtipur Cricket Stadium has begun: Prime Minister

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced the initiation of work to transform the Kirtipur sports field into a fully equipped stadium.

Addressing the public regarding key achievements during his government’s first hundred days in office, he highlighted that the renovation of the Kirtipur Cricket Stadium will include the installation of spectator seating, floodlights for night games, and the necessary infrastructure.

Oli stated that the expansion of the stadium has commenced in collaboration with the Ministry of Urban Development.

He emphasized that establishing the stadium was one of the government’s initial priorities.

“The first decision of the government was to construct the stadium,” he said, adding that work has already started following a formal agreement with the Ministry of Urban Development.
