Motorcycle catches fire after refueling, no injuries reported

KATHMANDU: A motorcycle caught fire in Tamghas, Gulmi, while the owner was refueling and attempting to start it, resulting in significant damage.

The incident involved a motorcycle with registration number Lu 8 Pa 1053, owned by 30-year-old Krishna Buchha from Gulmidarbar-4.

According to DSP Shankar Pokhrel of the Gulmi District Police Office, the fire ignited at the Shiva Shakti Oil Stores located in the Tamghas bus park when Buchha tried to start the motorcycle after refueling.

The blaze completely destroyed the motorcycle, but fortunately, there were no reported injuries.

Thanks to the swift action of the Nepal Police and the municipal police of Resunga, the fire was brought under control, preventing extensive damage to the petrol station and surrounding areas.
