KATHMANDU: The government has provided financial assistance to the immediate relatives of those who lost their lives in the recent floods, landslides, and inundation.

The government has granted Rs 200,000 per deceased individual.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, so far, relief worth Rs 50 million has been provided to the families of the deceased across 23 districts.

A total of 238 people lost their lives in the disasters.

Additionally, 177 people were injured, while the whereabouts of 18 individuals remain unknown.

The process of providing financial support to the affected families is ongoing.
