DIG Rana recommended for promotion to AIG

KATHMANDU: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Kiran Rana has been recommended for promotion to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police (AIG).

A meeting of the Ministry of Home Affairs’ promotion committee today recommended Rana for the promotion to the vacant AIG position in the Nepal Police force.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, who is also the member secretary of the promotion committee, informed that Rana was recommended for promotion in accordance with sub-rule 4 of Rule 27 of the Police Regulations, 2071 (with amendments).

Rana, who has been recommended for promotion, is currently serving at the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police in Lazimpat.
