Rabi Lamichhane ordered to 6-day custody

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been ordered to remain in custody for six days.

The order was issued by the bench of Judge Navaraj Dahal.

Lamichhane, who was arrested on Friday in connection with a cooperative case, was presented before the court today (Sunday) for an extension of his remand.

Senior Advocate Sushil Pant, along with Advocates Dr. Narayan Dutta Kandel, Subash Acharya, and Narayan Ghimire, argued on behalf of Lamichhane.

Initially, authorities had requested to hold Lamichhane in custody for five days, starting from Friday.
