Rabi Lamichhane presented in court

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, the President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been presented in Kaski District Court in connection with a cooperative fraud case.

He was arrested by police on Friday evening at the party office for allegedly being involved in the embezzlement of funds from the Surya Darshan Savings and Credit Cooperative in Pokhara.

To facilitate further investigation, the police brought Lamichhane to the Kaski District Court on Sunday to request an extension of his detention period.

Since the court was closed on Saturday, he was only able to appear before the judge today.
