KATHMANDU: Tourism entrepreneur Basantaraj Mishra has passed away at the age of 73.

He died on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at Norvic Hospital, according to family sources.

Mishra had been admitted to the hospital after contracting dengue.

Mishra had been involved in the tourism industry for over five decades, particularly focusing on the development of wildlife tourism.

His body has been kept at his residence in Kupondole, Lalitpur, from 10 AM to 1 PM today for final tributes.

Afterward, his cremation will take place at Pashupati Aryaghat.

Mishra is survived by his wife, one son, and one daughter.
