Rabi Lamichhane taken to Pokhara, to be taken to court tomorrow

KATHMANDU: Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has been brought to Pokhara for investigation related to a fraud and organized crime case involving the Surya Darshan Savings and Credit Cooperative Limited, Pokhara.

The Kaski District Court granted permission for the police to investigate the case, leading to Lamichhane’s arrest in Kathmandu on Friday.

He was transported to Pokhara via road late at night.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, Lamichhane underwent a health checkup at the Pokhara Academy of Health Sciences before being taken to the Kaski District Police Office at around 3 a.m., according to police reports.

Since today is a public holiday, it has been reported that Lamichhane will be presented in court tomorrow.
