SAFF Women’s Championship: Sri Lanka edges Maldives 1-0

KATHMANDU: In today’s match of the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024, Sri Lanka kicked off their campaign on a positive note by defeating the Maldives 1-0.

The match, held at Dasarath Stadium in Tripureshwar, was the first game of Group B.

Sri Lanka’s Emisha Anuradhini scored the decisive goal in the 18th minute, securing the team’s victory and earning them three valuable points in the tournament.

Later today, Nepal will face Bhutan in the same group.
