Vitamin A & deworming medication being administered to children nationwide (photos)

KATHMANDU: The government has begun administering Vitamin A and deworming medication to children across the country on Kartik 2 and 3 (Oct 18 & 19).

As part of the National Vitamin A Program, the Ministry of Health and Population has started providing Vitamin A to children aged 6 months to 59 months and deworming medication to those aged 12 months to 59 months.

The government aims to distribute Vitamin A to 2.1 million children and deworming medication to 1.9 million children.

To achieve this, over 52,000 health volunteers and more than 15,000 health workers have been mobilized, according to the ministry.
