Floods causes Rs 150 million in damages in Dharan, Inaruwa, and Duhabi

KATHMANDU: Recent floods have caused damages worth approximately Rs 150 million in Inaruwa, Dharan, and Duhabi.

According to the District Administration Office, Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City alone incurred losses amounting to Rs 130.5 million, while Duhabi Municipality faced damages worth Rs 12 million, and Inaruwa also suffered significant losses.

In Dharan, roads, bridges, and a school building were affected, while seven schools in Duhabi Municipality were damaged.

In Inaruwa, crops over five bighas of land were destroyed, as reported by Chief District Officer Ramchandra Tiwari.

Additionally, in Inaruwa, vegetable and banana crops cultivated over two bighas of land were also severely damaged.
