KATHMANDU: On Thursday, a meeting of the top three political party leaders took place at Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official residence in Baluwatar, where they discussed the implementation of the Cooperative Investigation Committee’s report.

The meeting also addressed the issue of the arrest of Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane.

According to a leader who participated in the meeting, Prime Minister Oli made general remarks regarding the report from the Cooperative Investigation Committee.

“While there wasn’t a detailed discussion about cooperatives, it was inevitable that the topic would arise during a meeting of top leaders,” the source told Makalu Khabar. “Everyone expressed the need to take action and implement the report as outlined.”

After the Prime Minister raised the subject of cooperatives, Nepali Congress chairman and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, as well as Pushpa Kamal Dahal, chairman of the main opposition party, the CPN (Maoist Centre), and former Prime Minister, joined other attendees like Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and CPN (Maoist Centre) Deputy General Secretary Shakti Bahadur Basnet in asserting the need for the report’s implementation.
