Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank launches “Mahalaxmi Smart Saathi”
This initiative is part of the bank's policy to provide customers with modern, secure, and convenient digital banking facilities, enhancing the traditional services currently available.
KATHMANDU: In line with the objectives and goals of the Nepal Rastra Bank, aimed at promoting the festive seasons of Dashain, Tihar, and other celebrations, Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has introduced the upgraded “Mahalaxmi Smart Saathi” mobile application.
This initiative is part of the bank’s policy to provide customers with modern, secure, and convenient digital banking facilities, enhancing the traditional services currently available.
The new application offers several unique features, making it the first development bank in Nepal to provide the following services through its mobile app:
- Real-time Fixed Deposit Loan Facility: Customers can avail of a fixed deposit loan of up to Rs 800,000 in real-time. Mahalaxmi Development Bank is the first in Nepal to offer this facility.
- Online KYC Form Submission: Customers can fill out and update their KYC (Know Your Customer) forms online.
- Account Opening Applications: Users can apply to open savings and fixed deposit accounts as per their preferences
- Self-assessment for Loan Eligibility: Customers can independently check their eligibility for loans through the app.
- Loan Application Submission: Users can submit their loan applications directly through the application.
With the launch of this app, the bank aims to enhance access to banking services in rural and semi-urban areas, promote financial inclusion, and reduce the necessity for customers to visit the bank in person.
The mobile application will automatically update on users’ devices, and it is available for download on both the Apple Store and Google Play Store.
