Road blockages across Nepal: A list of affected areas
As of Tuesday morning, 12 highways across 8 districts remain obstructed.
KATHMANDU: Heavy rains on Sept 27 and 28 have caused landslides and flooding, leading to road blockages in various regions across Nepal.
According to information from the Nepal Police, major disruptions have been reported in Lalitpur of the Kathmandu Valley, as well as in the Koshi, Bagmati, and Sudurpashchim States.
As of Tuesday morning, 12 highways across 8 districts remain obstructed.
In particular, the Kantilok Road in Bhimphedi Municipality-8 of Makwanpur is completely impassable.
Additionally, the BP Highway near Charawaveshi is also fully blocked, as reported by the police.
Roads in districts such as Tehrathum, Panchthar, Kavrepalanchowk, Ramechhap, Dhading, and Bajhang are currently affected by landslides, further complicating travel and transportation in these areas.
