KATHMANDU: The Sushil Koirala Memorial Foundation has issued a travel advisory for this year’s Dashain festival due to the ongoing heavy rainfall, which has caused floods and landslides, damaging roads.

In a statement released on Monday by Foundation Chair and former General Secretary of the Nepali Congress, Dr. Shashank Koirala, along with Member Secretary Atul Koirala, travelers have been requested to be mindful of the road damage.
The foundation has called on everyone to reduce unnecessary travel and celebrate the festival in a modest and cost-effective manner.
The foundation emphasized the need to celebrate the cultural festival with sensitivity, harmony, minimal travel, and cost-efficiency.
They also extended their best wishes for Dashain to all brothers and sisters in Nepal and abroad.
