Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance donates Rs 2.5 million to PMDRF

KATHMANDU: Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance Limited has donated Rs 2.5 million to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The cheque was presented to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday by the Chair of Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance, Mr. Shiksha Bhattarai, and the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Santosh Prasai, in the presence of Prabhu Group’s Chair and Member of Parliament, Honorable Mr. Devi Prakash Bhattarai.
Mr. Santosh Prasai explained that this support is aimed at aiding citizens affected by natural disasters, including floods and landslides, in various parts of the country, and is part of their collaboration with the government.
The cheque handover ceremony was also attended by Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance’s director, Mr. Birendra Jung Pandey, and Deputy CEO Mr. Kishor Prasad Lamichhane.
Previously, Prabhu Mahalaxmi Life Insurance had successfully rescued two individuals swept away by the flood on Sept 28 in the Nakhukhola area.
They honored 37-year-old Mr. Chanikalal Tamang, originally from Chhopatar, ward no. 9 of Temal Rural Municipality in Kavre district, who is currently residing in ward no. 25 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, with the title of “Real Hero.”
