JSP Nepal obtains membership in Int’l organization progressive alliance

KATHMANDU: The Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal has officially joined the international organization Progressive Alliance.
The decision was made during the world conference held on Monday in Santiago, Chile, South America.
This move marks JSP Nepal’s membership in a collective international organization of socialist, social democratic, labor, and progressive parties.
During the conference, which included representatives from 190 political parties worldwide, JSP Nepal was unanimously granted membership following a voting process.
The international assembly was attended by around 200 political party representatives from all continents, with Jaspa Nepal represented by its Chair Upendra Yadav and Foreign Department Chief Arjun Thapa.
The conference focused on themes such as freedom, social justice, and the assurance of human rights, while addressing issues like gender discrimination, socio-economic and ethnic disparities, inequality, and the end of oppression, along with environmental protection.
