KATHMANDU: Pathao Nepal held its Annual Recognition Event 2081, honoring its riders, captains, delivery heroes, parcel heroes, restaurants, parcel merchants, and partners who provided exceptional service in the last financial year.
The company’s Managing Director, Asim Man Singh Basnet, emphasized the courage and contributions of drivers with disabilities, noting the gratitude Pathao has received from various individuals for making daily life easier.
He attributed the company’s success to its hardworking and dedicated drivers, captains, and heroes.
During the event, Pathao Nepal recognized its top drivers across various categories. The youngest driver, Suman Babu Magarati, received the “The Rising Rider Award.” Similarly, Prem Bahadur Khadka was honored with “The Star Male Rider Award” for being the best performer. Tirtha Bahadur Bista received “The Tireless Ride Award” for completing the highest number of rides.
According to the company, Sudhan Adhikari was awarded “The Users’ Favorite Rider Award” for receiving the highest ratings, while Bimal Shrestha earned “The Veteran Rider Award” for having the longest time on the platform. Shyam Bahadur Chaudhary was recognized with “The Honorable Rider Award” for maintaining no suspension. Suman Khadka also received “The Dedicated Rider Award” for being the most active.
Among female riders, Om Kumari Chemjong was honored with “The Star Female Rider Award.” Posha Bahadur Khatri received “The Senior Rider Award” as the oldest rider, and 47-year-old Saraswati Maharjan was recognized with “The Helping Hand Award” under the “Social Cause” category. The awards were presented by the company’s director, Shashank Shamsher Thapa.
Pathao also honored its captains with various awards. Kishor Giri received “The Rising Captain Award” for being the youngest captain. Tul Bahadur Shrestha was recognized as “The Star Male Captain” for best performance, while Khadka Bahadur Dhakal was awarded “The Tireless Captain Award” for completing the most rides. Kailash Dhungel received “The Users’ Favorite Captain Award” for the highest ratings, and Pushinara Tamang earned “The Energetic Captain Award” for maintaining the highest CSRs.
Additionally, Janakalal Shrestha received “The Veteran Captain Award” for the longest time on the platform, while Rajesh Tamang was recognized for maintaining no suspension. Karuna Tamang Bhandari received “The Star Female Captain Award,” and Bol Bahadur Khadka was awarded “The Senior Captain Award” as the oldest captain.
Pathao also presented awards to its heroes. Narendra Kumar Tamang was honored with “The Star Male Pathao Hero Award” for best performance. Sanjay Khawas received “The Top Pathao Hero Award” for best-performing on a bike, while Kedar Bahadur Lungeli Magar was recognized as “The Best Performing Pathao Hero on Cycle.”
Rajan Dhungana received “The Superstar Pathao Hero Award” for excellent communication, and Gajal Amin was honored with “The Star Female Pathao Hero Award.” Ramesh Thapa Magar was awarded for completing the highest orders, while Bamba Bahadur Budha received recognition for maintaining the highest CSR.
The company also presented awards to various parcel merchants. Nepa Essence Pvt. Ltd. received “The Top Partnership Award” for best contribution, while Seven Multi Trading Pvt. Ltd. was awarded “The Service Excellence Award” for outstanding service. Gun Pari Nepal Pvt. Ltd. received “The Operational Excellence Award” for exceptional cancellation control. These awards were presented by Pathao Nepal’s director, Suraksha Hamal.
Recognition was also given to parcel heroes. Subash Dewan, Khadga Bahadur Khadka, and Rajendra Magar were honored with “The Veteran Parcel Hero Award” for the longest time on the platform.
Pathao recognized its insurance partner, Himalayan Insurance, payment partner, Chito Paisa Pvt. Ltd., and two-wheeler partner, Syakar Trading Company Pvt. Ltd., for their contributions to the company’s success.
An emotional moment of the event was when Shyam Chaudhary shared his experience of receiving financial assistance under the Pathao Benefit Program after an accident during his tenure.
Basnet stated that what began as a startup has now developed into a successful business.
He also shared insights about the company’s new services, including Pathao Kirana, Pathao Khaja, and Pathao Games, and announced plans to launch Pathao Rental soon.
