25 parties to participate in local level by-elections (list)

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has registered 25 political parties for the local level by-elections.

Among these are the National Freedom Party (RSP) and 24 other political parties.

Previously, the Election Commission called for the registration of parties from Sept 26 to Oct 2, during which 26 political parties submitted applications.

According to the decision made by the Election Commission on Sunday, 25 political parties that fulfilled the legal requirements have been registered.

The local level by-elections are scheduled to take place on Dec 1.
