Two held for raping

KATHMANDU: Police detained 43-year-old Panchalal Darzi, a resident of Byas Municipality-6 Syamgha and Sitaltole in the same municipality-4, on suspicion of raping a 38-year-old lady.

The police stationed at District Police Office Tanahun apprehended him after receiving a report that Darzi raped the victim on Wednesday night.

Similarly, Okhaldhunga police arrested Devraj Rai, 40, of Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality-3, Bagale tol, on Saturday evening for raping a 22-year-old lady.

Rai was detained by officers stationed at Kettuke Officers Station and District Police Office Okhaldhunga following an allegation that she raped the lady on the night of Ashoj 1.

According to the police, authorities currently investigations in this matter.
