KATHMANDU: The Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, Badri Prasad Pandey, has stated that the government is actively working to ease domestic air travel.

He noted that due to recent monsoon-related disasters disrupting road networks, there has been an increased demand for air travel.

Efforts are underway to make air travel more organized and convenient.

Minister Pandey mentioned that efforts are also being made to restore road networks, and that flights are currently operating from early morning until late at night, creating a more accommodating environment for travelers.

He acknowledged that during festival seasons, the number of people traveling out of the Kathmandu Valley increases, which often leads to higher flight ticket prices.

Additionally, he explained that as most travelers are heading from the city to rural areas, the need for empty flights returning to cities also contributes to the increase in ticket prices.
