77 lives lost in Kavre due to floods & landslides

KATHMANDU: In recent floods and landslides, 77 people, including a foreign national, have lost their lives in Kavrepalanchowk, while 75 others have been injured.

According to the District Police Office, five people are still missing following the disaster.

Among the deceased, 33 are women, 28 men, nine boys, and seven girls.

In Panauti Municipality alone, 18 people, including eight women, have died.

In Temal Rural Municipality, eight women, three men, and one boy have lost their lives.

Similarly, in Roshi Rural Municipality, six women, two men, one boy, and three girls have perished.

In Bethanchowk, eight men, three women, and one boy have died, while in Mandandeupur, seven people, including three women, have been killed.
