Manakamana Cable Car to shut for 2-days during Dashain
The service will resume its regular operations on Monday, Oct 14.

KATHMANDU: The Manakamana Cable Car service will be suspended for two days during this year’s Dashain festival.
According to Manakamana Darshan Pvt. Ltd., the cable car will not operate on Saturday, Oct 12 (Vijaya Dashami) and Sunday, Oct 13 (Ekadashi).
The service will resume its regular operations on Monday, Oct 14.
Established in 1998, the Manakamana Cable Car is Nepal’s first cable car system, providing easy access for pilgrims visiting the renowned Manakamana Temple located in the Sahid Lakhan Rural Municipality of Gorkha.
The cable car connects to Kurintar in Chitwan, allowing passengers to reach their destination in just 10 minutes.
