16 lakh rupees worth of Cardamom seized in Sunsari

KATHMANDU: Around 1,600 kilograms of cardamom valued at approximately 1.6 million rupees has been seized.

According to the Armed Police Office in Sunsari, a team from the Armed Police’s security post in Dharan detained a mini truck at Shivadhara Chowk in Dharan on Tuesday night.

The Armed Police team became suspicious while checking the mini truck that had arrived from Bhojpur.

They discovered that the bill for the cardamom did not match the vehicle’s registration number, prompting the seizure.

The mini truck, which was headed towards Morang, has been taken into custody along with the cardamom and handed over to the revenue office in Itahari.
