Real Madrid, positioned just one spot above Lille, also has three points from the same number of games.
In a physically intense match, seven yellow cards were shown.
Real Madrid’s Endrick, Eduardo Camavinga, Jude Bellingham, Antonio Rüdiger, and Luka Modrić were all booked.
On Lille’s side, Jonathan David and Bafodé Diakité received yellow cards as well.
The game was ultimately decided by a penalty goal from David in the third minute of injury time during the first half.
