Aston Villa triumphs over Bayern Munich with Duran’s goal

KATHMANDU: Aston Villa secured a 1-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League at Villa Park on Wednesday night.

The home side’s second consecutive win lifted them to sixth place with six points, while Bayern, facing their first defeat, dropped to 15th.

Villa initially took the lead in the 22nd minute through Pau Torres, but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review.

However, in the 79th minute, Duran scored the winning goal from Torres’ cross, securing the win for the home team.
