KATHMANDU: Chanikalal Tamang, who rescued two individuals swept away by the Nakkhu River in Lalitpur Metropolitan City-25, was honored by KNP Nerolac Paints.

In a ceremony held in Kathmandu today, KNP honored Tamang with a cash reward for his brave act.

Tamang had successfully rescued two people who were being carried away by the floodwaters of Nakhu River. The 33-year-old, originally from Temal-9, Kavre, currently resides in Lalitpur and works as a painter.

During the event, KNP Nepal Director Manoj Mishra expressed his happiness in being able to honor Tamang for his courageous act.

Mishra also noted that it was a matter of pride for the company that Tamang, being a painter, demonstrated such heroism.

Mishra further expressed his sorrow over the devastation caused by floods and landslides and emphasized the need for everyone to come together and support one another during these challenging times.
