I have also been swept away by a flood: PM Oli

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has shared that he himself was once swept away by a flood.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Prime Minister Oli mentioned that the Home Minister had provided initial information about the flooding incident.

He highlighted that the Home Minister had informed him about four people being swept away by the Nakhu River.

Oli further revealed that he too had been carried away by floodwaters but managed to escape on his own.

He said, “I was once swept away for a few kilometers, but I managed to get out by myself. No one saw it; if someone had seen, they would have said I was also swept away.”
