Court orders release of Durga Prasai on bail

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of businessman Durga Prasai on bail related to electronic crimes.

Judge Thakur Prasad Kharel granted Prasai bail set at Rs 100,000.

Prasai was arrested on Sept 22 from his residence by the Cyber Bureau of the police, facing allegations of character assassination against a woman.

The court has set the bail amount at Rs 50,000 for each of the two charges against him.
