EC to donate seven days’ salary for flood victims
The commissioners have decided to deposit their seven-day salary into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has announced its decision to provide assistance to flood victims.
Issuing a press release, the Commission’s Chief Commissioner and other commissioners informed that they will contribute their salary for seven days to support those affected by the floods.
The commissioners have decided to deposit their seven-day salary into the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The Commission expressed condolences for all those who lost their lives due to floods and landslides caused by continuous rainfall in various parts of the country.
They also wished for the swift recovery of the injured.
Additionally, the Commission has called on its Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and all staff members to voluntarily contribute and provide assistance to the flood victims.
