KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has scheduled a cabinet meeting to convene as soon as he returns from his visit to the United States.

The meeting is expected to take place at 4 PM, immediately after his arrival.

Although the exact time for the meeting is not yet confirmed, it is anticipated that Prime Minister Oli will gather information from ministers regarding the damages caused by floods and landslides.

The government may also make decisions about providing relief to families affected by the fatalities and injuries resulting from these disasters.

As a result of continuous rainfall, the floods and landslides have claimed the lives of 192 individuals, with an additional 30 people reported missing.

Prime Minister Oli is currently attending the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly and is scheduled to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu at 4 PM.
