KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is returning to Nepal after participating in the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

He departed from Doha, Qatar, yesterday and is scheduled to arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport today at 4 PM.

Prime Minister Oli had traveled to New York on Sept 20 to attend the UN General Assembly.

After concluding the assembly events at the UN headquarters in New York, he traveled to Boston on Friday for a program at Harvard University.

At Logan International Airport, Oli was bid farewell by Lok Bahadur Thapa, Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the UN, and Acting Nepali Ambassador to the U.S., Kumar Raj Kharel, among others.

During his time in New York, Oli also participated in various discussions and delivered his address to the General Assembly on Sept 26.

He also held several sideline meetings while in New York.
