NRB begins exchange of clean notes for Dashain, no excitement (photos)

KATHMANDU: This year, the process of exchanging new currency notes has begun for the Dashain festival.

The Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB), along with authorized branches, will allow the exchange of new notes until the 22nd of this month.

According to the bank’s Currency Management Department, Banking Department, and regional offices in Biratnagar, Janakpur, Birgunj, Pokhara, Siddharthanagar, Nepalgunj, and Dhangadhi, people can exchange clean and new notes at these locations.

The NRB has also stated that arrangements have been made to exchange new notes at branches of licensed banks and financial institutions.

This time, there is no crowd when distributing new notes.
